Hello! Happy New Year!  Wow, it is a long time since I did a post! hopefully 2016 will be the year I keep on top of my blog! We shall see :) I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, we did, and I have quite a few photos to share with you! So I think I had better get started!

Since it is such a long time since I last posted, I thought I would share some photos from the Summer first, as we did have a lovely Summer and enjoyed so many nice days out, we are very lucky to live quite close to a few different lovely beaches, so we can always enjoy days out there, whatever the weather, but it is particularly nice in Summer ( even though our Summers mean wearing coats to the beach, lol! ), Julia loves the beach!

Julia turned two in October, goodness me! Where does the time go! We made her a special cake for her birthday, a Little Miss Sunshine cake, as she is our Little Miss Sunshine :)

We had a day out at a nearby petting farm which Julia really enjoyed!

And she loved the dolly I made her for her birthday too, I love making things for my little one!

Halloween was wonderful! Julia dressed as a super cute clown, and we all went to the seafront, to walk along the promenade to watch all the beautiful lights, have chips looking out to sea, and then walking in the park directly opposite the beach to see all the magical lights, with a certain Alice In Wonderland theme going on :)

In late November, John, Julia and I all went to Beamish Museum, and had one of the most wonderful days out ever! Christmas at Beamish has just begun, so everywhere was completely magical, very old world Christmas, I love Beamish Museum, I could live there! Julia was dressed in her beautifully snug red winters coat, with her red scarf and bonnet ( which I crocheted for her ) on, and she just seemed to fit right in with Beamish wearing this ensemble! She would not keep her mittens on though, her little hands were perishing bless her, so whenever we could, we would wrap her right up under her blanket ( which I also made for her, by cutting down an old throw which was beautifully soft, hemming it and adding a crochet border, Julia loves this blanket! )  in the pushchair, to keep her hands warm, but after a while, the blanket would come off too! Here are some photos of our perfect day out at Beamish..

We had a lovely Christmas day, as I hope you did too! I knitted myself and Julia matching Christmas jumpers which we both wore together on Christmas day, here is mine ( I did wear mine but have not got a photo :) )

and here is Julia wearing hers at Johns mam and dads when we went for Christmas dinner

Julia enjoyed Christmas morning so much, opening her presents, seeing Santa Claus has been and ate his supper Julia left out for him and his reindeer before she went to bed, Julia loved the gifts I made for her, a baby doll…

and a crocheted tea set, which she was particularly taken with!

I made the little bag for the tea set too :)

At the moment I am knitting Julia a Peppa Pig jumper which I am really enjoying doing and can not wait to see Julia wear this, she loves Peppa Pig!

Well, that’s that for now, I really hope you enjoyed my blog catch up, I will try my best to keep on top of my blog this year, promise :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog, all the best for 2016!

Take care, bye for now :) xxx

Spring Fever is in the air! Look around and you can see signs of it everywhere! I just love to see birds coupling up, and seeing their courting rituals! The pigeons that come into our garden are so sweet! They’ll hop along the fence, the male chasing the female, showing off to her, and eventually she’ll give in, stay still for him, and they’ll snuggle and cuddle, and groom one another, so sweet! And on Thursday night, we had two surprise visitors to our garden, two ducks! We live close to a beautiful park, a field with a little stream going through it, and another park with a man made lake in it, so these ducks could of came from any of these places, I think these two ducks are definitely a couple.

They arrived when Julia was in bed, just as we put her to bed actually, so unfortunately she did not get to see our little feathered visitors. John and I went out to feed them some bread, and it was so sweet as the male duck was letting the female have the majority, and you could see how alert he was, watching out for his companion. After they fed, they settled in the grass, had a snooze, then about an hour and a half later, they went. But, they returned the next night ( last night ), the same two ducks, at almost exactly the same time, just as we put Julia to bed! Again, they fed on bread, rested, snoozed, then about an hour and a half later, flew off! I wonder if they’ll return again tonight, I do hope so!

John baked another delicious cake! This was a vanilla and chocolate cake, which was just divine!

It was vanilla sponge on the bottom, then a layer of chocolate butter icing, then a chocolate sponge, topped with vanilla butter icing and chocolate shavings, yum!

I finished knitting Julia’s teddy bear cardigan, and I am so pleased with it! I really, really enjoyed knitting this :)

The teddy bear buttons I got a really good deal on from ebay, I won auction for 48 of these buttons ( 24 brown, 24 white ) for just over £1.00, bargain! The flower on the cardigan I crocheted,

Our beautiful girl! She would not keep her glasses on though, lol :)

My new Susan Crawford  knitting book arrived a few days a go, I love it!

I am definitely going to try my hand at knitting the Christmas jumper, hopefully for this Christmas

And I love this cardigan which I am going to knit for Julia..

I love this little knitting book!

More buttons, another ebay buy…

At the moment I am knitting Julia this cardigan…

It is done all in one piece to the armholes, then divided for shaping, at the moment I am knitting in the little Westie Doggies :)

Well, that’s it for today! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, I hope you all have a lovely weekend, bye for now :) xxx
