Hello Everyone :)

Whiskey and Jack are getting on great now

they are always playing, chasing one another, snuggling

and generally been the best of friends :)

I am so pleased that they are getting on so well, oh, while we are on about Jack, I have to show you these piccies that I caught last Saturday…

Yip, that is our Jack……..inside the washing machine! He has done this before, when I have had the washer on, I always leave the door open for a few hours, to let the dampness out, but because it is nice and warm in there, from the hot water, Jack decided that it is the perfect place to sit and relax in for a while. :) Cats are funny creatures ar’nt they, lol.

Last night I went to the W.I, with Sarah, and it was lovely. Last night was the first time that Sarah and I had met, and we got on really well I am pleased to say. :) The W.I was in Fullwell, and it was actually quite packed, with ladies of all different ages. I enjoyed listening to the minutes been read, the notices given out, and then the demonstration on vegetarian cooking, by a very nice man, who was a pastor. He had brought a portable stove with him, and on there he cooked a tattie, leek and rocket soup, which smelled delicious, and which I am definitely going to try out, he cooked a nutty pasta bake, and brought with him a pre-cooked asparagus quiche and a yoghurt cake, which he explained to us how to make. It was a really enjoyable evening and I am greatly looking forward to next months meeting. :)

I finished reading Tylers Row by Miss Read, then I read The Christmas Mouse and Farther Afield

and now I am reading No Holly For Miss quin by Miss Read, what are you currently reading?

I have made an absolute load of granny squares now…

so I think I shall start sewing in the ends now, then joining them together, with a black border, I have also been knitting, I am following my very first knitting pattern, for a tea cosy, and I am loving making it…

I am working with two colours at the same time, and I believe this method is called Inartasia, I thought it would of been quite difficult working with the two colours at once, but infact, it is quite easy :)

This is the inside of the cosy, and you can see how wool is been carried throughout the work, stranding, and this stranding will give extra insulation, meaning that it will keep the tea in the pot, hot, for twice as long :)

In the past I have just knitted swatches ect… to practice my knitting, so really, this is the first proper thing that I have knitted and I am really quite proud of it. :)

I have done all the housework, so now I am going to put my feet up, read for a while, then watch Heartbeat and On The Buses on ITV3, while knitting. :)

I hope you all are having a really enjoyable day, thank you so very much for taking the time to read my blog and leave your lovely comments.

Take care everyone, bye for now. :) :) :) xxxx
